Privacy controls

How participant data is handled

Private participant links

Each participant opens a private link with a random code. Participants have no accounts or passwords and never see the researcher dashboard.

Optional demographics

You choose whether to ask for age, sex, education and handedness. Participants can leave any of these questions blank.

Consent with a time stamp

Participants agree to your consent text before the first test. The time they agreed is saved with their record.

Audit events

Server routes that handle consent, trial responses, scores and exports are classified as participant-data routes and write audit events.

Owner-only results

Only the researcher who owns a study can open its participants, results and exports.

HIPAA-ready workflows

We support HIPAA-ready workflows and BAA review for hospitals, clinics and academic medical centers.

HIPAA-ready cognitive testing

Scoring and data quality

Scores and quality checks for every session

Automatic scoring

Every test is scored on the server when it ends. Exports record the test, settings and scoring versions.

Literature norms

Percentiles against literature norms for 9 tests, with more added as platform data grows.

Device check before testing

Before the first test, the app checks the browser, screen size, fullscreen and input. It stops a session when the device cannot run the tests as designed.

Session quality checks

Each session is marked valid or invalid with a reason, such as leaving fullscreen or too many responses under 100 ms.

Study Quality Monitor

Each study shows valid, needs-review and invalid counts, the most common reasons, and quality by test and participant.

Study Quality Monitor

Large text for older adults

An older-adult setting enlarges the text on the consent, question, start and finish pages.

What participants need

Participants need Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a laptop or desktop. Timed tests need a mouse or keyboard. Phones are not supported yet.

Limits

ConductCognition is for research use only. It is not FDA-cleared and is not 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.
