Questions
Does ConductCognition need internet access when it runs offline?
No. After installation, researchers build studies, participants complete tasks, and scores and exports are produced on your own network. If your IT team turns on update checks, that check is the only connection out.
Where is participant data stored?
On the server or computer where ConductCognition is installed, inside your network. That covers consent answers, demographics, trial responses, scores and exports. Backups go where your IT team decides.
Can participants still use study links?
Yes. Participants open their study link or enter their study ID on a computer that can reach your server, such as a testing-room computer. Your IT team decides which networks can reach it.
Do the tasks and scoring work the same way offline?
Yes. Your server delivers the same tasks, instructions and practice trials, and applies the same scoring rules after each session.
How do updates work?
Each update is a signed file. Your IT team installs it after a backup, at a point that suits your study schedule, and can return to the previous release. Sites without internet access can carry the file in on a drive.
What computer or server do we need?
We size it with your IT team, based on how many researchers and testing computers you have and how many sessions you run. One computer can serve a single testing room, and a server suits a lab group or department.
How does licensing work?
Your institution holds a license for the offline edition. ConductCognition checks it on your own network, with no internet connection. We agree on the terms with you during setup.

Yes. ConductCognition still runs online at conductcognition.com, and you can start with a free account.
